Fear is universally recognized as a basic human emotion, what is an emotion? It is a conscious mental reaction. So it's not unusual to have a feeling of fear. The spirit of fear is a posture of cowardness meaning fear dictates how you operate in life or a certain area of your life. for example, the emotion: I'm afraid of snakes so if I see one I'll be afraid. The spirit- living out my life everyday in fear of seeing a snake so it hinders me from fully living going outdoors to enjoy life. I hope you understood. God has not given us the spirit of fear it is something we allow ourselves to take on maybe due to past experience. Fear is one of the many tactics of the enemy to keep you from reaching your true potential in Christ. Today if there is any area of your life that fear has somehow overwhelmed you, you have the authority to denounce it through the power of Jesus Christ. fear is a chain and a hinderance it will keep you bound and God wants nothing more than to see is children free.
